RSD Reflection Journal

A short reply or a change of tone lands far harder than it should, and takes hours to shake off.
It is out of proportion and you usually know that at the time, which helps not at all. Rejection sensitivity is not thin skin and it is not something to be argued out of; it is a feeling that arrives at full volume and then takes its own time to drop. This 10-page printable journal does not try to talk you out of it. It gives it somewhere to go while it is happening, and a way to look at it again afterwards, once looking is actually possible.

Who this is for
This journal is for anyone living with adult ADHD who wants somewhere to put the detail down while it is still fresh. A short reply or a change of tone lands far harder than it should, and takes hours to shake off.
What’s included
- Welcome & how to use this journal — and, plainly, when to put it down
- How I work best — who and what feels safe, filled in on an ordinary day
- Right now — a short grounding page for while it is happening, single words only
- Afterwards, once it has passed — the episode log, page 1
- Afterwards, once it has passed — page 2, with a hard stop if recording starts to make it worse
- What I felt, and what was actually said — two separate records, kept side by side
- People I can check things with — and how to ask so the check is worth anything
- What I have learned about my own reading of people, read across several entries
- What surprised me
Inside the planner

How it works in practice
The page this journal is built around keeps two records apart: what it felt like they meant, and only the words that were actually said. Three outcomes are allowed and none of them is a verdict on you — the reading was accurate, it was genuinely ambiguous, or there was more in the feeling than in the words. Over several entries you find out which one you tend to land on, which is worth knowing and cannot be told from a single bad afternoon. The retrospective pages are all gated to once it has passed, on purpose, because filling them in mid-episode keeps you inside it.
